Awful Mobile deposit rarely works. App crashes and doesn't display menu. Logs out instantly when screen goes to sleep. There should be at least a 10-15 delay before logging off.

Why? Went from a great app to one that has me in serious danger of breaking my phone. Mobile deposit does not work, logs you out. It has been months and no update. Heads need to roll, I'm about to change banks.

Mobile deposit works less than half the time The app crashes more often than it works. It usually takes me several tries to get a mobile deposit to go through. And even then I'm not convinced it's taken the check.

Horrible app degrades company name The IT Director who authorized this new mobile app should be fired. The app constantly spins on "loading" even when switching accounts or doing mobile deposits. If you do not constantly keep the screen active, and your phone turns the screen off, then you lose everything and have to login again. For such a GREAT Bank, this App is HORRIBLE... Why has Advantis not done anything to fix this broken app in months? I am about to change banks just to get away from this app....

Getting worse I've been using the various Advantis apps for about 3 years. These new updates in the past year seem to make it worse with every update. App crashes everytime I launch it, took away the choice of password saving so that I have to type my credentials every login. Everything still works, but it is always a frustrating and buggy experience with crashes and errors.

Lot of bugs and timeouts It does what I'd like a mobile bank app to do, but takes forever to do it and makes me re login every time my phone goes to sleep while waiting. Good start, but a lot of improvements are needed.

Mobile deposit is nearly unusable Most of the time when taking a picture, the app would hang while processing a picture. I thought maybe my WiFi was at fault so I changed to my cell data. Still didn't work. Half an hour later when I finally had pictures of both sides, it failed a validation check. Not using it again.

Mobile deposit usually times out I have had to reinstall the app three times, each time to get it to accept mobile deposits. The fusion record is useful.

Worst App Ever You have to log in to your personal account to deposit into your business account. Deposit doesn't work usually anyway. It's so bad I'm moving my accounts elsewhere.

Does what I want/need it to do. Love the multi-factor, multi-page login that shows security is a priority over convenience. Also like that it logs me out when switching apps, again showing security best practices were used.

Terrible Barely works. Mobile deposit doesn't work at all, the camera takes blurry pics and won't focus. App either shuts down, locks up or plain won't open every time.

Good Bank, Garbage App Mobile deposit works 1 out of 10 times. Consistently times out on check image upload and moving from screen to screen. Advantis demand more from your 3rd party banking software company. Your customer’s user experience is important as this is a reflection of your business. The old app worked better.

The bank is great. Their app is aweful. Now takes 3 screens to log in, constantly crashes, and after I log out I can't just hit the return button to go back to my home screen. Causes my phone to freeze and crash. Not even going to bother to try the mobile deposit. Oh. Mobile deposit doesn't work either.

POS new version. Cannot use mobile deposit as does not work. Then when trying to open support tab it crashed my phone with a "404 error" whatever that is and forced me to restart. This change over to the new system and app has been giant cluster #!*&. Why did they roll out such a buggy system.????

Awful, can we go back to the old one? If it ain't broke why fix it? I sure hope your backend system got an upgrade that was worth it Advantis. Your mobile app used be a pinnacle of what a banking app should be. Simple. Clean. Reliable. Now its just a buggy piece of junk waiting for an inevitable upgrade. Should the app actually load correctly and not crash on start-up, rarely can I log in successfully. And should I actually make it past the labyrinth that is the log in screen, I will be met with a series of screens that do nothing. Can't transfer. Can't deposit checks (reliably, I actually got it to work twice, which is why you get one star). Also, it automatically logs me off should I close the app accidentally. Then I have to begin the whole freaking process over again. Come on Advantis! You can do better than this.

Needs work Everything is okay except mobile deposit, which is the only feature I want to use. Usually takes at least three attempts to get a check photo to load, with crashes between each attempt. I have a galaxy 3.

Annoying "feature" Well the upgrade was pretty necessary as the old online banking was clearly inadequate, and overall I'm happy (pending transactions at last!) but with the improvements to the system, the mobile app has taken some hits. The worst of which is logging me out each time my screen turns off. Sometimes it takes longer to load my account information than my screen-blank-on-idle timeout, and when I turn my screen back on it will have logged me out. I've never seen another app do this and wow does it drive me insane.

Great credit union, buggy app. Credit union is fantastic, but the app is pretty bad. It logs you out if your screen turns off, or if you switch apps. When trying a mobile deposit on Android 5.0 it said it was processing one of the photos for so long the screen turned off and I had to painstakingly log back and start over. Need to work on the user experience. Logging out when navigating away from the app or your screen turning off is a bad user experience. Only use the app every other month to do mobile check deposits. I don't have my password on hand if I'm out and about to enter it every single time.

Buggy. Does not work with LastPass vault. If you switch anywhere away from the app, even to check messages or answer a call, you are logged out. A check deposit that took 2 min in the old app took 15+ min and 7 logins.

Disappointed This is a good tool to see account balances and make quick transfers, however it is often slow and glitch. Every time I try to exit, it give me an error of some sort. Disappointed with this app.

Terrible app The last version was much better. This app is buggy, logs you out if you even answer a call or text, not very fluid. I'm writing this review because attempting to open it results in a black screen.

Too many bugs 4 out of 5 attempts to open the app result in an error message. Then when it goes to the log in screen it only lets me log in about half the time. I usually get an error message. It doesn't save username so you have to retype it every time. If you can get this to work consistently it will be great. I like the new features in the app.

Cannot login After the latest update the app is nonfunctional. As soon as I press the button to log in it crashes. This happens every time. I was encouraged when the new app came out to see a better looking UI and the long-awaited addition of tracked fusion checking goals. Advantis, phrase fix this app.

Miss the old app! This app had a serious problem with mobile deposits which has caused me serious problems. As I live 300 miles from the closest branch, having a mobile deposit was a great feature. It's why I started using my Advantis account as my primary account again. I may have to return to using a local bank.

I am on a note 2 running Android 4.3 and this app is the only app on my phone that doesn't work. I have tried uninstalling it and reinstalling to no avail. It seems like my problem with the app is not an isolated occurrence judging from the plethora of 1 star comments. It is hard for me to jude an app if it completely crashes before I have had a chance to even see what is inside the app. Advantis Credit Union is a great bank, the best I have ever been with but this app doesn't reflect that greatness. REVIEW UPDATE. Version 1.6.17 works on Android 4.3 without crashing. This is a huge improvement, I can actually use the app now. It would be great if the App developers could also make it so that repeated presses of the back button will eventually cause the app to close completely. Right now the only way to get out of the app is to press the home button and then close the app using Android's application switcher&manager. I don't yet have a check to deposit but I am eager to test whether the mobile deposit works or not.

Better than before The app no longer crashes for me. I don't want it to remember my password, that is security to me but I also can remember a password with jumbled letters and numbers. I personally deposit checks almost every day over this app. It works every time unless my phone isn't getting a good signal. It works on my tablet too. I do not work for Advantis and I am not getting paid to write this. I live further away from the actual credit union to go physically there to make my deposits, so I only stay with this credit union because I am too lazy to switch and they have this app now. I'm not sure why so many people rate this app so low because I think it works great. I do transfers and it's instant. I give it 4 stars only because I believe there is always room for improvement but I dont have anymore issues with it since the new update. The only thing I can actually think of off the top of my head is that taking pictures of the checks throws me off since you can't just click everywhere, There is a button now and it feels weird with the button. Also, while taking a picture of the back of my checks and it has the blue box for your signature, still have to retake because it doesn't align right.

2016-01-03 V 1.4.15 only took me 40 minutes to make a mobile deposit of a commercial check. It is time the deposit app was dumped for something that really works. I love Advantis CU. I love the people service. Why can't they get a mobile app work as well? Thankfully, a branch is within 5 miles. That's where I deposit the rest of my checks. . . . 2015-01-27 Mobile app does not work with LastPass vault. If you switch anywhere away from the app, even to check messages or answer a call, you are logged out. A check deposit that took 2 min in the old app took 15+ min and 7 logins.

Requires my password every time I use the app? That's not security. That just encourages me to use a bad, simple, memorable password. Please allow "remember password" or PIN access. Edit: Thank you for replying, but a password I can remember (much less want to type in every time I use mobile banking) is not an adequately secure password. Consider changing vendors; the old app lacked some functionality but was otherwise much better.

Photo of checks for mobile deposit doesn't work This app works ok but the mobile deposit doesn't work so well.... When taking a photo of my check, it flips the picture around for some reason and so it is very difficult to fit it in the frame correctly. It also has trouble focusing. Very disappointing bc mobile deposits are important, especially for a girl who works during business hours and can rarely visit the credit union locations! **update 2/15/16: any update on fixing the mobile deposit photo issue? Camera won't focus at all now

Getting worse Time to update my review of the Advantis app. In the last 3.5 years it has transitioned from great, to great with mobile deposit, to terrible. Now we have another new version and logo change. Screen goes black for a second and closes. Will update if they fix it. They had actually been progressively improving it until this latest snag. Great branches and bank but pretty underwhelmed w/their mobile banking.

Cannot login After several functional updates the app is once again broken. It opens to a black screen and then closes without even a notification that it has crashed. Advantis, you were doing well with the past few updates. Please fix this asap.

Mobile deposit is frustrating Works just fine for everything except mobile deposit. I have to set aside at least 10 minutes to capture an in focus picture of the back of a check. Luckily none have been rejected yet.

Not bad I only use it for mobile deposits. Only real complaint: it does not tell you the per check/per day deposit limits until after you've taken the time to prepare and scan your big check. Would be nice if this were in a notice up front. Per a teller I spoke to today, at the moment the limit is $5000 per check, $5000 per day, and $25,000 per month.

Getting better I hope this update addresses camera issues when depositing checks. What you see in your viewfinder is not what the app captures, requiring many retakes of check fronts and backs. Very rustrating compared to other banks' mobile deposit apps.

New version Mobile Deposit is broke On the Nexus 5X the camera is upside down which makes it hard to take a photo and then the photo flipped back after I took it so I had to retake it. Really irritating.

Always use this app to make my mobile deposit from anywhere around the world, so for that I love it. Although it always seems to give me some trouble with the picture taking. You just have to figure out how to work with it's quirks

Better than the iPad version On my iPad I've seen the issues describe in some of these comments, where images get squashed & cropped wrong. No issues on my LG Volt.

Mobile deposit useless Spent the last 20 minutes or more trying to deposit a check. LG V10 running Android 6.0. Check photos look flattened and app does not scan amount with no obvious means of manually entering. This is why I quit using the app several years ago.

***Edited after update*** App now works like a charm after a few updates, mobile deposit works, its super simple to log-in with a passcode (as opposed to screwing up my password with a keyboard 5 times), and its all that it used to be.
