ACCC Recalls Australia

Apk file size: 784.0 KB

Get the latest on Australian product recalls! The Recalls Australia app will help you stay on top of the latest recall information, especially when you’re on the move. The app enables you to search the national recalls database by product name or category. It also includes a function to report an unsafe product, including a photograph (if relevant) to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).

Developed by the ACCC, the app draws on information contained on the Recalls Australia website (www.recalls.gov.au).

IMPORTANT: Please note that the app can take a while to download and open the first time you use it, as it downloads the recalls database to your device. You may prefer to do this when connected to a wireless network rather than via your 3G connection. Once you’ve opened the app the first time, it only downloads details of new recalls (thus saving you bandwidth) and so opens immediately.

Font too small Great app, useful information, love the ability to have this info in your pocket. One negative; the font is way too small to read (SGN3). Please fix.

Steve Burgiel

Needs work. Needs UPC/EAN barcode scanner to check products against recalls. App not optimised for large dpi screens like Galaxy S4.

Doug Freeman

ACCC Recalls Extra small font size on this version. Too hard to view. Please return to previous font size. Galaxy s4

Michael Wilhelm

Good app with important information. If only they would fix the font size issue.

Grantley Towell

Fonts to small to read on high DIP devices Need to make fonts readable and adjustable.

Jane Russell

Font far far too small Font is way too small to read on S4. Either make the font bigger or allow it to be enlarged somehow.

BluSky Froggy

Samsung Galaxy S4 The words are in small print and unable to read on Samsung Galaxy S4

Lindon Lee

Poorly designed & scaled Text size is ridiculous.

Brett Walsh

Please update this program. Tried using on Samsung Galaxy S3 & S4 and the font size is sooo small it's unreadable. It's way smaller than shown in the example pics. Please adjust font size.

Samuel Lockhart

Tiny text On my S2 it was fine, but on my Galaxy S4 the text is tiny, so I don't really use this app any more.

A good idea for an app, but.... Can't read the information on S3 unless using binoculars. Font is ridiculously small, no option to change font size Uninstalled due to lack of usability on phone.

Search function doesn't work App can't find a recall that appears on the website, even after searching each ' category' one by one. HTC Desire S

Great App! Very informative. I found out about my kids Ikea baby seat on this. I will use it weekly

Good idea but needs a lot of work Searching is limited, the description for one item says "see attached spreadsheet", the button labels are hidden, & it doesn't use Android design standards

Well done Nice to see this app coming to Android so soon after iOS. It works well.

Kain Rafferty

Average Works great on my phone but it isn't supported on my Nexus 7. Can you please update this in the future.

Great Easy and quick!

Awesome tool Before I found this app I didn't know Homebrand Honeypops and sliced black olives had been recalled due to containing glass. GLASS! Font size is fine for me, even without my glasses..

Karen Bruse

A great app Found this just browsing and found it to be really informative and is updated regularly. Only thing I can pick is not having the share function

Kelvin Chan

"See attached VIN table" "See attached VIN table" for car related recalls. But the attached VIN table is nowhere to be found.
